We were appointed to design this modern garden space for our clients in Birmingham. The primary focus of the brief was to create a contemporary outdoor space that incorporated a swimming pool, bar area, lounging and entertaining spaces with generous planting.
We chose materials that complement the design concept, such as porcelain paving and composite decking. We also chose structured plants with interesting textures and shapes so they can be arranged in a bold and contemporary manner.
Pathways connect the different areas and guide you through the garden with the planting defining the boundaries of each zone whilst also providing a sense of separation and privacy. We have included lighting will make the garden useable in the evenings and create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The design includes two covered seating areas so that the garden can be used all year round. We have chosen adjustable louvered roof pergolas which allow you to control the amount of shade and ventilation in the seating area below. The pergolas have been positioned in areas that are sheltered from wind and rain, and planting will soften the look of the metal pergolas and add colour and texture to the garden.
The space around the swimming pool has been designed to be simplistic yet functional, providing ample room for lounging, sunbathing, and dining. Trees have been thoughtfully positioned across the back of the garden, not only to offer natural shade during hot summer days but also to add visual interest and complement the overall style of the garden.
